USA Ban on E Liquid Flavours

As we have seen in the news recently, Donald Trump has decided to pass legislation to ban e-liquid flavours, which equates to over 80% of what consumers want in their vape device. Vaping has evolved from your cigalike product that people were first using back in the late naughties, to a pod system that is easy to use, and a huge number of flavours are open to users through a refillable pod. It is also worth noting that Public Health England through the Royal College of Physicians have confirmed that vaping is 95% safer than smoking, and are recognised as one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the world.

So we have over 80% of the American population who vape using different flavours other than Tobacco or Menthol, and we also know that vaping is approximately 95% safer than smoking. Why on earth would Donald Trump move to ban flavours? That’s completely absurd is it not? Well, let me give you some facts, so that you can understand why America put money > saving lives. Bottom line with everything in this corrupt world is… MONEY.

In 1994 CEO’s from all of the world’s biggest tobacco companies (7 at the time) all went before congress, and on record testified that Tobacco is not addictive. Even with an overwhelming number of reports, studies from institutions across the world, clearly showing evidence that Tobacco products were the cause of lung cancer, and they were extremely addictive for an individual. This shows the absolute greed from corporate tobacco. They have blood on their hands.

In 1999 the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement was pushed onto the 4 major tobacco manufacturers, to cover healthcare bills for the damage that cigarettes have given to public health. This was to the tune of 206$ billion. This would be paid back to 46 states through Tobacco bonds over the next 30 years.

Due to the rise of electronic cigarettes, and the decline of the tobacco industry due to adults changing from tobacco to e-liquid, this has made it increasingly more difficult for tobacco manufacturers to pay back to debt from the MSA agreement. In some cases, default payments have been missed, leaving a huge hole in the American infrastructure. What is the solution?

Donald Trump bans all flavours for electronic cigarettes, thus handing the advantage back to the tobacco giants, to recoup their losses, and to fund the government once again. We live in a corrupt world, where money talks, and human lives aren’t valued above the $.

HALO E Liquid Review 2020

HALO E LIQUID REVIEW

HALO e-liquid is made by Nicopure, who are an American e-liquid manufacturer based in Florida. Their manufacturing facility is based out of Gainsville FL, and their head offices are located in Tampa FL. The company was setup by two friends, Jeffrey Stammler, and Jason Del Giudice. Shortly after the formation of the company in July 2009, they also enlisted the help of Jeffrey’s brother Ken Stammler who would run the manufacturing side of the business.

In the early days it was a family run business, servicing local customers in and around the Tampa area when vaping was starting to become popular. Due to the huge success’ of selling online, the brothers and Jason ventured out into selling to vape stores all across the United States of America. It is safe to say that you can now find HALO e-liquid products on nearly every vape store shelf across America.

The Products:

HALO Tribeca – The most popular RY4 tobacco e-liquid within America, and the most successful flavour within the HALO e-liquid range. Tribeca is a smooth caramel tobacco which has a unique mourish taste to it.

HALO Sub Zero – This is our faviroute flavour here at jumponthevape.com. A cool menthol blast followed by a peppermint aftertaste. If you are a menthol eliquid lover then this one is a must purchase! It will blow your socks off.

HALO Turkish Tobacco – Turkish Tobacco is what it says on the tin. If you’ve tried Turkish Tobacco shisha before, it tastes exactly like that. A very interesting take on tobacco e-liquid.

HALO Malibu – An exotic flavour bursting with lots of fruity undertones. Malibu is actually the faviroute flavour of the CEO Jeff Stammler, so that defintely says something about this flavour. If you like Malibu and coke, then give this a go. You won’t be dissapointed. It’s also worth noting, that this liquid has a subtle menthol aftertaste for a fresh breath.

HALO Prime 15 – Another tobacco e-liquid from the HALO range. This tobacco is targetted at vapers that would like to replicate the tobacco draw from a cigarette. If we were to couple this with a well known brand in the tobacco industry, it would be like a Marlboro Red.

Vaping vs Smoking 2020

VAPING VS SMOKING

This is still a well discussed debate within the world. There has been a lot of fear around vaping from the incidents that’s occurred in The US. There was many reports of illnesses and even some deaths among e-cigarette users, this has re-sparked the debate on how safe vaping really is. We at Jumponthevape would like to clear some of this up.

To begin with we would like to give you a few known facts. Vaping is still an effective tool to quit smoking and it is 95% less harmful than smoking. The best thing for any smoker is to consider their health and quit smoking.

To put the issue into context, in the US cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 480,000 deaths a year, that’s around 1,300 every day.

What is in E-liquid?

So you are probably aware that people can buy flavoured e-liquid. E-liquid does not contain tobacco, but E-liquids can be bought either with or without nicotine.

The main ingredients of E-liquid:

  • Naural & artifical flavourings
  • Vegetable Glycerine
  • Propylene glycol
  • Nicotine (If chosen)

There is many different flavourings of E-liquids that you can choose from, ranging from Tobacco flavoursFruit flavoursMenthol and Cake flavours

Vegetable glycerine & Propylene glycol, are widely used across the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

Nicotine is an addictive chemical which is why there is also restrictions as to how much can be in e-liquids. Experts agree that nicotine is not a cause of cancer.

E-liquid products sold within the UK are tightly regulated for quality and safety. The Tobacco Products Directive (Also known as TPD) restricts nicotine being added to bottles over the size of 10ml. Larger bottles e.g 50 mls with no nicotine are often referred to as shortfills. If you do want to add nicotine to these shortfills you can buy Nicotine shots to add to them

What are public health officials saying about e-cigarettes?

More research is needed into vaping related lung disease but the the problems within the US are largely related to vaping products containing Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the main psychoactive compound found in marijuana which gives the ‘high’ sensation.

Guidance published by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) supports the use of e-cigarettes & e-liquids to help people who are struggling to quit smoking.

This is backed by an evidence review carried out by Public Health England (PHE), which found that although not completely risk-free, e-cigarettes are at least 95% less harmful than smoking

The black market

Across the globe a black market vaping industry exists, supplying harmful and potentially deadly products. E-liquids bought off the street in the US have been found to contain counterfeit substances, including ‘cutting agents’ used to dilute the product. American health officials say they may also contain contaminants like pesticides, poisons and toxins.

Many of the American patients affected by the illnesses have admitted buying their e-liquids off the street and roughly 80% have reported using products containing THC.

The US has now started banning the sale of flavour e-liquids and Trump has already admitted he should not have jumped to conclusions and regrets getting involved. You can read our article here around this.

In the UK, all e-cigarettes and e-liquids must be notified to the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) before they can be sold. You can check on the MHRA website whether the product you’re using can be legally sold.

Trump: ‘I Should Never Have Done That F-cking Vaping Thing’

During a telephone call on speakerphone in the Oval office, Donald Trump expressed regret with getting involved in the proposed flavour ban in the United States.

This comes after advice from his closest government aids advising him to drop the flavour wide ban of e-liquid flavours in America. Trump got cold feet on support for the flavour ban after he was informed that it would effect core voters that support trump for a second term in the White House. As the heading of this blog suggests, Trump went into this blind, and has again acted rashly before taking a breath to consider to consequences of his decisions.

Trump laid into Health and Human Services Secrutary Alex Azar over decisions made on the flavoured e-liquid ban. Unfortunately Donald Trump hasn’t changed his mind entirely on the issue, but he regrets wading in on the issue, and putting his name behind changes prooposed on by Alex Azar’s administration current vaping policy. He stated that he should of taken a back seat on the issue, and left it to the Food and Drug administration to deal with the matter effectively for the good of the American youth, which has seen a sharp rise in taking up vaping within the United States of America.

Some consider this to be good news in the fight against protecting adult consumer rights to choice in which vape they decide to use. Reseach shows that over 80% of American Adults choose flavoured e-liquid to meet their vaping requirements. Tobacco and Menthol while still being the most popular flavours in America, only make up a small share of the pie. Unfortunately, although this is good news in the fight against the proposed ban, business’ have already been effected across the globe due to the negative information coming out of the USA, and many business’ have gone under as a result. It has been reported that the vape market globally is down 25% in sales, and in some regions as much as 40% due to the rhetoric being published in American articles.

Here at Jumponthevape.com we welcome the positive news coming from the USA, and we continue to provide safe e-liquid for our customers, sourced from trusted suppliers who have undertaken all the necessary testing, regulatory obligations, and toxicology data to ensure safe consumption.

Lastly, it has also been reported that the scare was caused by illegal THC cartridges containing harmful substances as the cause of the related deaths in America. Therefore to date, there have been no vaping related deaths reported in America due to vaping legal e-liquid.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
